First time at home

The holiday season was so different for us this year because of Stella coming. We usually spend one Holiday with my family and the other with Aaron's. We could not make it to Montana for either this year, which was sad but for Christmas we were able to spend it at our home and make some of our own traditions.

Emma loves to "spend the night" on our bedroom floor so we had her sleep with us Christmas eve so we knew when she got up. At about a quarter to 10 we all got up and went to see what Santa got us. Emma was so excited to see all the gifts that she had gotten and could not wait to open them, so we left her go first and she opened all of them.

She got a light bright, Polly pockets and Dora books from mom and dad. From nana and papa a game system, play dough and Mrs. potato head. And from Santa...her Dora scooter. When she opened the box her face just lite up and she wanted it opened right them. We made her wait until everyone was finished and then it took me an hour to put it together. They were horrible instructions!

Next was Stella. I was a little sad because none of the christmas clothes fit her yet, so she just had a 'normal' outfit on! With her only being three weeks old, she only had a couple of gifts. Puppets from Nana and papa. And a glow worm and tummy mat from mom and dad. And a matching hat with Emma from Aunt Alison! Then was dad's turn. He got DVDs, crossword puzzles, PJ's , book light and a Wii game. And as a family gift he picked out a new TV. He has wanted one forever and I think we have been looking for several years and finally made the plunge and got a 40 inches HD tv!
Last was my turn! Aaron did great with my gifts this year! I got a new bathrobe, slippers, a bag of truffles and hot tamales and new perfume. And Aaron's parents got me some new makeup!
After we had opened our gifts, Aaron (Santa) had another surprise for us. After I had gotten all of Emma's gifts I saw an commerical for an aqua doodle. I thought Emma would love it so much, but Aaron kept saying that she had enough gifts. Which he was right, but I really wanted to get it for her! He said lets wait till after Christmas. So he tells Emma that Santa left another gift for her in the closet. So she quickly went and opened it and it was the aqua doodle. I was so surprised and really touched that he went and got it for her! Emma loves it so much and I am glad that she got it.
After everything was opened we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and lounged around the house. Then we headed to my parents house for pizza. We all had a wonderful Christmas this year and Santa sure brought us some great things. even thought it was different to be home this year we all really enjoyed it!
