Christmas eve this year was super busy. The girls and I started the day by running gifts to friends and wishing them a Merry Christmas. Then home where we meet dad and we made several dozen sugar cookies, which we then passed out to the neighbors and left a plate for Santa. Next was Santa...Emma has been not sure if she wanted to go and sit on his lap (she is really shy sometimes) but at the last minute decided she wanted to. So we run her to the mall and she would not get close to him. She just shouted to him want she wanted. Which was a Dora scooter.
Then we headed to my parents house where we had a wonderful dinner. Croissant sandwiches. Since we had the girls open their Christmas PJ's when Nana Adams was here, we had them open their new blankets to keep them warm.
My parents also had us open our gifts from them since we were going to do Christmas at our house in the morning.
After all the gifts were opened, we took the girls to go look at Christmas lights. We saw some really beautiful ones. Then home to read the Christmas story from Luke and a toast! Then it was off to bed so Santa could come visit. It was a super busy day. But it was wonderful to spend it as a family. Christmas this year has been a whirlwind having a new baby, but it was sure fun to have Emma so excited.
