Was is real or the drugs?

My hubby loves to do different things with his facial hair. He says it helps with the monotony of every day life, plus I think he likes the reactions that he gets from people. There are times when he is cleanly shaven like these first two pictures this summer. I think this is the look that makes me look the youngest!

And then there are times when he grows our his goatee. This is what he usually looks like. But he will grow it out just until it starts to bother him and then he shaves it off to start again. I have tried to buy him a trimmer so that he can just trim it but he always seems to cut a hole into it.

This picture is his new look. The beard. I don't know why but after thanksgiving he decided that he wanted to grow out his beard. Something he has never done. It look a lot to get used to but it really started to grow on us. We affectingly referred to him as our "mountain man"!
Well Wednesday after I got home from the dentist, he wasn't wearing his beard anymore. He had cut it into a mustache with a little patch under his bottom lip which he referrers to as his flavor savor. Now I just spent the last two hours at the dentist and had just taken some heavy pain killers so when I came home and looked at him I didn't know what to think. Was it real or my mind playing tricks on me... well it was really real and he did it just to throw me off. He looked ridiculous and I could not wait to take a picture... well as I was getting ready to do it, my camera gave me a error message! So no picture, you will have to imagine it. So now I am on the road to getting my poor camera fixed, cross your fingers for me because I have to call the Cannon people and get it fixed!

My sister helped me get this picture off my phone today so you can see what it looked like! Thanks Kourtney :)

I do like the goatee look. The Audiology program is called clincial doctorate, so it's different from normal PhD degrees. They used to get Masters degrees and then practice, the way Speech Pathologists do, but then "they" (whoever "they" are) decided it really should be a doctorate program. So they created this new concept of Clinical Doctorate (many programs in health professions are going to this, like counseling you can do a Masters or a Clinical Doctorate, I believe...). Where it requires a certain number of 1)observation hours in clinc 2) working hours in clinic being observed or coached, along with a project of sorts with accompanying dissertation like paper. He won't have to spend hours researching as in a tradition phD but will have to put in tons of time!! As for hanging out, I'd love to find a time when that would work out, even if it's just meeting up at the mall's play area. I think that with our girls being close to the same age (I believe) and being only kids for now, they would be two peas in a pod :-)
