We have been waiting for this day for what has now been years. I love that we live in a country that gives us the freedom to vote for our leaders of our country. What a wonderful privilege that we have and Aaron and I both exercised it yesterday. But what I cant stand is everything that leads up to it. Aaron and I were both in the minority for what we wanted to see this election year (that is me telling you who we voted for without actually saying it) and so we heard it from everyone to explain why we were voting that way. That is the wonderful thing about opinions is that we are all allowed to have them. So I am glad that I don't have to tell anyone else who and why I am voting for someone... because it is finally over.
On a brighter note, I cant tell you how happy I was to wake up this morning and find that California did it! YEAH The ban on same sex marriage was passed. This was the one thing in the election that I was passionate about and I could not even vote for it. What a wonderful statement that they made. Even in the state that has the most same sex marriage they were able to show the county what a marriage should be! No matter who was elected last night I think this restored my faith in what our country is all about!

That really is awesome about Cali! I love love love your new background too---so cute and inspirational for a scrapbook page :0)!
Glad to hear it! I love voteing in Washington because we do mail in voting here. it is so much easier and I can take as long as i want with out wiating in line or wondering if I'm at the right place, the only down is I don't get a little sticker that says "I Voted" to wear around all day.
I hadn't heard that yet about California. That is AWESOME! I always enjoy voting but it was hard for me this year. Oh well.
I echo your words! Yeah to proposition 8! Tell Emma and Aaron hi!
