Week 2 for Stella

Stella's second week of life was much easier on everyone. We were able to hold and enjoy her, unlike her first week of life. And we all took advantage of it.

On Sunday the 6th Cheri (Aaron's mom) was able to come down for the week and help us out with the baby and our house. What a lifesaver she was. She kept everything neat and clean and kept us fed! It was just what I needed to be able to heal and to get used to having a little in our lives again. I don't know what we would have done without her!

On the 7th, Cheri helped me get out and put up our Christmas decorations. Emma has been so excited for Christmas this year. So she couldn't wait to get the tree up and turned on. She was so helpful this year and it really helped get us into the Christmas mood. With just having a baby, Christmas didn't seem to be the same, but this really helped! Kourtney had come over to see Stella and got to see the transformation.

Cheri also got new Jammie's for the girls for them to wear for Christmas. She had them open them that night so that they could enjoy them all month long! Emma looked great in hers, Stella is still only able to fit into newborn clothes that she did not get to enjoy them yet. But I am sure she will love them as much.

We also took Stella out for her first real out ting this week. Cheri helped me take the kids to the mall to get some much needed things. Like comfy pants for me and things we needed and wanted for the house! Because Aaron still has classes this week, it was nice company to take them out of the house and get some much needed shopping done. I know I could not have done it by myself, not just yet!

On the 10th Stella got her first bath! Because of the Hematoma, jaundice and umbilical cord she had been able to have one but with everything healed and back to normal she was able to have her first bath. Emma loved being able to take a bath with her and helped in some much needed ways. Stella screamed through most of it and because of that, it did not last long. She isn't the water baby that Emma was... and still is

!

And to end the week, Cheri took us all to see The Princess and the Frog. It is disney's new movie. What a cute movie it was and for the first time, Emma sat and watch the whole thing. Usually it will hold her attention for a moment and then she will start playing around and getting into trouble.

Compared to the last week, this one was a million times better. It was wonderful for Stella to meet her Nana and for all of us to enjoy her company for the whole week. I don't know what we would have done without her.
