Quality Time with Emma

I have tried hard to make sure that Emma has gotten the attention that she has needed since that baby came. And this past week she seemed to get some good quality time she needed! After Kristen and Sasha came into town she wanted have a "spend the night" over at Grammy's. So her, Joey and Sasha had one. From what I was told they all stayed up to late having a great time together!

At Stella's shower I bought Emma a gift certificate to get a pedicure done at a little child's spa here in town. Kristen wanted me to wait to have it down when they were in town. So on the 18th we meet Amber and her kids at Artic Circle to play and then took all the girls to have their toes down. Emma loved it so much. She was super jealous when Amber and I got pedicures done before Thanksgiving and I got a flower pained on my toes. So this was a super treat for her.

Then on the 19th was the day Emma has been looking forward to forever! Her first ballet rectal. It was a really long day, but so worth it. We started with the dress rectal at 9:00 until about 12 then got something to eat, ran home to get dressed and then back for the performance! As I watched Emma that day, I felt like she had grown up so much in that day. With her costume and makeup done she seemed years older. I was so proud of her to see her get up on stage and have a great time. She did very little of her dance routine, which all of us moms didn't think they would do! But she did her own dance and was so happy to be there. The afternoon was great because so many of our friends also dance in the same company. And the best part was that so many people were there to support Emma. What a fun day!
