A day of graditiude

I have to admit Thanksgiving has never been one of my favorite holidays. Sure I love the great food and company of family but until yesterday I don't know if I have ever truly felt that spirit of gratitude. I think Heavenly Father knew I needed it this year. With everything that has been going on in our lives I have felt ungrateful for what I have. I know what a horrible thing to say! But yesterday I really reflected on what I have been given.

* Frist I can't talk about what I am thanful for with adding the wonderful man who I get to call my husband. He is there for my no matter what ( and believe me I have tested that... I have managed to lose two sets of keys in the past couple of weeks!) I don't know where I would be without him. I was watching a movie the other day and they described love as friendship on fire. What a wonderful way to describe the relationship I have with Aaron. He really is my best friend who has really carried me a lot lately. Thank you Sweetheart.

* Second I have the most amazing daughter. I love every minute that I get to spend with her. Even if she is all that we are blessed with it I will be the luckiest mom in the world. She has become such a ham and makes me laugh even when I don't think I can. And last night she melted my heart by saying her first prayer on her own... " Dear heavenly father. Thank you for the day. Thank you for Joey, Nana, Papa, Grammy, Kristen, Mommy and Daddy. Have good sleep. Jesus. Amen"

* Thrid, I have a deep testimony of my my religion and the reason that I am on this earth. Aaron and I have really been given some curve balls in life but I know that if we are faithful we will make it.

* And last but not least, I also have some out of this world family and friends. We are so blessed to have been raised in the church and have faithful and active siblings. We know no matter what happens that they are there for us. In addition Thank you to each of our wonderful friends who are there for us in so many ways.

We hope that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have many wonderful things you are thankful as well. We were able to spend the day with my family we had a couple people missing but were able to add a new one this year. In 5 more weeks he will be officaily a part of our family. After dinner my borther and Aaron went and saw Transporter 3 (this was a repayment from watching Emma so we could see Twlight!) We also made a gingerbread house and did a lot of laughing!

What a sweet post. I love Thanksgiving because it reminds us of what we have been blessed with. (I thought the movie was good. I knew there was no way that it would be as good as the books. I'll probably try to see it again soon.)
