What we have been doing!

I look at the last time we have posted anything and wonder why? Since August has started we have not had a lot of things going on! After the craziness of this summer we decided that we wanted to take it easy and enjoy the rest of the summer. So with all of the R & R we have been doing we have also become a little lazy... But I assure you it is much needed. When I got home from Girls Camp I was not only physically but mentally exashted I felt taxed in every way. So I told Aaron PLEASE don't plan anything for us for a couple of weekends so we can get back to normal! So that is what we have done. It has been a nice past couple of weeks and I think we are finally getting back to feeling normal again. YEAH But here are some picture of what we have been up to lately!

The first weekend of August we went to the Chubbuck days parade. There were so many people in it this year and Emma and Joey came out with SO much candy! We are still eating it!

I love this picture of Aaron and Emma. She has been playing so much outside that after dinner and bath she will fall asleep where ever she stops at.

We were finally able to take Emma swimming at Ross park. Kourtney, my mom and Joey all came with us! They kids had a blast in the kiddy area and we had a hard time getting them to leave when the closed!

Emma and Joey had their end of the year pool party for their playgroup! They swam and played on a slip n slide and had cupcakes for Joeys birthday party! It is fun to see Emma interacting with a group. She is so shy which is such a contrast to her loud personality at home.

Last weekend they had the grand opening of a McDonald's in town. So for the big party Ronald came. Emma was terrified of him but was able to crack a tiny smile for the picture.

Later that day we went to the park. There is a school on our way to Grandma's house that she always wants to play at. So I finally took her. The toys were so great for her and she ran around for over an hour. It was fun to see her so happy and to be able to spend that time with her.

On The 20th my best friend had her baby. Little Mara Jade was born at 8:42AM. She was 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long. She seemed so little compared to Emma's 21 1/2 inches long. She is so beautiful with her dark hair. Emma didn't know what to think at first but towards the end gave her kisses.

Joey turned 3 on the 21st, but we waiting until the next day to celebrate. We had it at the new McDonald's because they have an amazing toy area. With chicken and fries and cupcakes everyone had a good time!

So that is a little recap of the past couple of weeks. I sure have enjoyed reading everyone's blogs lately. I have really drawn inspiration from those of you who have posted about such strength through your trials. I know I need to do better about that. But I know that spirit is always there helping us get through what we need to in life. I am grateful for that knowledge and of a loving and support husband. He knew I needed some time to regroup and not only did he give it to me... he did not complain that he did not get another camping trip! What a guy!

It is great that you have had a good time at home. sometimes that is all you need before you can do anything else. When I hear about all of the fun things that you have doing with your family it makes me homesick for mine. I have found that when I am so used to visiting my mom everyday it is super hard to go without that extra support. I have to make sure to have my daily phone call with her before I can have a "good" day.
thanks for sharing!
