This weekend we made a FAST trip down to Utah to visit family and go to the Draper open house. Even though all if felt like all we did was run around we sure had the best time. We were a little worried about taking little Emma into a temple! ( for those of you who don't know her well she is a TON of energy and does not like to hold still.. likes to touch everything!) But I was really surprised at how well she did.
We left Friday night and stayed the night with my Aunt and Uncle in Riverton. They are so much fun and I really appreciate everything that they do for us. Saturday afternoon we meet Aaron's two sisters and brother and their families at Noodles & Company! One of my favorite places to eat! It was great to see everyone again... it has been way to long. It was also great to see all the cousins interacting. They are so cute together and sure love each other. After out bellies were filled we headed to the temple. To say that it was busy would not even explain how insane it was. We got there and there was no parking in the lot we had tickets for. So after we found parking we got in there to be told there was an hour and half wait to see the movie before we could go on the bus. Having 5 little sick kids we decided to skip the movie and get into the bus line! We felt bad that we cut in front of people, but the kids would have NEVER made it! Without the movie it still took over 2 hours to go though it.
The temple is amazing. I love how these new temple you walk in and you feel like you stepped into a home. The colors are rich and warm and you just want to stay in there! Emma favorite place by far was the baptismal font. She went right up to staring at the water asking to go swimming. I was really afraid that she was going to get away from me and jump in! Another really cute thing was we were going into another room and there was a painting of Christ after he was resurrected that showed the pierce in his side. Emma got really sad and wanted to know why Jesus was hurt and she started getting upset and wanting to kiss him better. Oh, to see things through children's eye. It was a great opportunity to teach her about why Jesus did for us and how we should thank him.
What a great experience we had! I am so glad that we decided to go! Emma thank us all the way for taking her to Jesus house. I just want everyone to know that I have a deep testimony of temples and the sacred ordinances that are performed there. I know that they are god's house and I can feel him there every time I go. I am forever grateful to the sealing ordinance and that because of that I am able to have my family forever!

This is such a sweet story-its amazing how everything can change when you enter the temple.
Oh what fun! I wish we could do that too! We have a temple in spokane but it seems even father away then going from Poc to IF.
What great memories you will have. Emma will never forget going to to the temple!
How sweet! I love temples too!!!
That's so great! Samantha has been to the Rexburg and Twin Falls open houses and her favorite part was the baptistry too! It's taken us FOREVER to convince her that when she gets baptized at 8 that it will not be in the "round baptism" in the temple....
