I'm dreamin of a White Christmas

Well we were all packed and ready to make the drive to Montana to see Aaron's family for Christmas when we checked the weather one more time and noticed that there was a huge storm suppose to hit while we were driving up there. Having been in a huge accident a little more than a year ago we decided it was not worth it to try and make it up there. So at 4:00 Christmas eve we scattered with my mom to get things together to add us to their Christmas celebrations.

Later that night we had dinner with my family and then opened our gifts from them. My mom made each of us new blankets. They are so great and were nice to have that night. We also got our new PJ's (one of my favorite parts of Christmas) Then we hung out until little Emma passed out and took her home.

For Christmas day we decided to open gifts at our house. Because of the horrible storm that night Emma woke up several times scared of the wind so she did not wake up until 10:30! We had opened most of our Gifts on the 23rd so that we did not have to take them with us, and because of this there was only Emma's big gifts to open. (I will post those later when I get them from my sister!) It felt different, but it was so much fun to see Emma open her gifts and the hours that she played with them that afternoon. She got dress up clothes from Nana and Papa Adams, a little people castle, Legos, play food and bake set and a butterfly barbie!

Later that night we had pizza with my family. One of our family traditions And since we were so bummed from having to stay home Aaron took me out to see a movie. We went and saw Marley & me. It was so cute and really helped put us in a better mood!

Even though our Christmas was not what we had planned or had wanted it really gave us time to reflect on what we really have. Because of our knowledge of the gospel we were able to go to Heavenly father in prayer and get an answer for him. Yes, it was not the answer that we wanted. We wanted to go to Montana to see his family so bad, but we know that there was a reason we were not suppose to go and we are content with that. Sometimes in life we are not able to do things, but that doesn't mean that there isn't something better in store for us! We have loved all the time that we have been able to spend together and are so grateful for Christ and for his love and because of him our little family will be able to be together forever!

Bummer! I am so sorry that you didn't make it to Montana. We mad it to Poky before the storm hit and then hibernated inside for most of the weekend!
